FIND AN EXIT FROM A PLATFORM |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
If you're travelling round the inner circle, the doors will open on your right as you face the front of the train. Note that, as you get off the train, there's a glass barrier running along the far side of the platform. Turn right and continue to the steps in front of you.
If you're travelling round the outer circle, the doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. Get off the train, turn right and continue to the foot of the steps in front of you.
From either platform, go up a flight of steps, follow the right-hand rail round (180 degrees), then go up another flight to the booking hall level. The gates are in front of you, with the manual gate at the left-hand end and the automatic exits to your right of this. Go through the gates.
For the steps-only exit, turn right, continue to the wall then turn right again and go up two flights of steps into Buchanan Street. West George Street is a few metres in front of you, continue to the kerb and move left to find the crossing.
For the main exit, with escalators, continue forward from the gates to the foot of the escalators, then go up the left-hand escalator into Buchanan Street. The Buchanan Galleries are on your right, up three flights of steps before you reach Bath Street.
For Queen Street Station, continue forward towards the escalators, move to the right-hand wall of the booking hall and go through the exit with a central pillar to the wall in front of you. Turn right and use the left-hand moving walkway (or path to your right of this) to reach the forecourt outside the west entrance of Queen Street Station. The taxi rank is to your right and the doors into the station are also to your right, (about 1 o'clock).
