Location

The station is in the northwest corner of the junction between Cessnock Street (north/south) and Walmer Terrace (west). Across the pavement (south of) Walmer Terrace is Paisley Road West (east/west). Both Cessnock Street and Walmer Terrace are blocked to traffic at this junction; there's a row of bollards across the end of each street.

Entrances and Exits

The entrance/exit, which is under a tenement building, faces east, leading down a short slope onto a forecourt with eight steps up from the south and east sides to street level. On the north side of the forecourt is a high wall which is a continuation of the north wall of the station building. There are station name signs at the top of each set of steps into the forecourt. Each set of steps is divided into two by a central rail.

Local Road Crossings

There's a crossing of Paisley Road West a short distance east of Cessnock Sttreet. There is no tactile paving at either end of this crossing. As you cross in either direction, the post with push button and rotating cone is to your right, there’s a lower post with no cone to your left. There are railings before and after this crossing.
