The station is in a residential area with Dundasvale Court to the east and Dundasvale Road running east/west to the north of the station building. This is at a lower level than the main roads which are reached via underpasses.
At the higher level, Garscube Road runs east/west between Cambridge Street (running south, to the east of the station) and Rose Street (running south, to the west).
There are two underpasses. One leading south from the east side of the station meets a T-junction, the right-hand (west) arm of which leads to Rose Street, whilst the left-hand (east) arm leads to Garscube Road, just west of Cambridge Street. The second underpass, leading west from the station, goes under Garscube Road and joins New City Road, which finishes here at the lower level.
There are two entrances/exits from the booking hall, one (west) leads west towards the underpass under Garscube Road, whilst the other (north) leads from the north side of the booking hall before turning east to face Dundasvale Court.
We found no pedestrian controlled crossings within the scope of this survey.
