If you're arriving in a southbound train, towards Middlesbrough, the doors will open on your right as you face the front of the train. For trains going towards Newcastle, the doors will open on your left.
At the time of our survey, trains stopped outside the station building, which is towards your right-hand end of the platform as you get off the train. The glass doors to the booking hall are about in the middle of this building.
Go through these doors and continue forward, through another set of glass doors, onto the pavement.
