Lines Served

This is a through station on the line between Newcastle Central and Middlesbrough, which runs east/west through the station.

Layout

A single platform serves trains in both directions. The bay platform, lying south of the areea to the east of the station building is seldom used. The station building, housing the rectangular booking hall, is located against the south side of the platform, towards the west end.

There is step-free access throughout this station.
