Having entered the station, you reach the ticket sales window to your left. The station is open between 6:30 am and 11:20 pm.

Holders of concessionary cards (disabled and over 60) are required to buy a 40p concession ticket, whilst blind people with passes are encouraged to collect a free ticket from the sales window. The free tickets are single journey tickets which operate the automatic gates.

As you turn right from the ticket sales window, the gate line is in front of you with the entrance gate at the left-hand end and the manual gate at the right. Go through the gates, follow the left-hand wall to the end and turn left. Go down a flight of steps, turn left, down three steps, turn left again and go down a flight of steps onto the platform. This is an island platform, about four metres wide with no tactile paving along the edges.

The outer circle is to your left, you're near the rear of the train, whilst the inner circle is to your right, you're near the front.
