THE WEST BRIDGE |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This is the main bridge in the station, connecting all platforms via steps, up escalators and lifts. In addition, there's a down escalator into the area east of the gates from which there's level access to platforms 1 to 8.
All lifts are of the same layout, visit the lifts page for more details.
All flights of steps leave from the east side of the bridge and have five flights of eight steps down to platform level. By exception, those to platforms 16 and 17 have about a 20 metre gap between the first and second flights. There's tactile paving at the top and foot of each set of steps.
The steps from platforms 1 to 8 are divided into two sections by a central rail, whilst a single set, beside the up escalator, serves other platforms.
