There are two automatic entrance and two automatic exit gates in this station, in the gate line across the west (left as you enter from the Scotland Street) side of the booking hall. The gates you need are to your right. Note that the manual gate is in the middle of the gate line.

Note, unlike those on the London Underground, the direction of these gates is fixed and there is no ticket slot on the no-entry side. Note also that expired tickets are returned, rather than captured by the machine as you complete your journey.
