GENERAL DESCRIPTION |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This is a through station on the line leading west from Partick, via Clydebank to Dalmuir, Helensburgh and Balloch, which runs approximately east/west through the station.
Although most westbound services start at Queen Street, some, particularly during evenings, start from Glasgow Central.
The station has two separate platforms, with platform 1, eastbound towards Glasgow, lying north of platform 2, westbound, towards Balloch, Dalmuir and Helensburgh.
The tracks are crossed by two bridges, one running along the west side of Mill Road, which we will call the east bridge, is at the east end of the station, the other, which we will call the west bridge, crosses the tracks beyond the west end of the station.
There's step-free access to each platform from street level, though each bridge is directly accessed via steps from the platforms.
As there is step-free access to each platform from street level, we believe this station is accessible to wheelchair and Guide Dog users. This was, however, an unmanned station at the time of our survey.
