The station is located on the north side of Aldgate High Street (east/west), a few metres east of St Botolph Road (north). The road to Aldgate Bus Station leads south, almost opposite the station entrance.
There's a single entrance leading north from Aldgate High Street, giving level access to the concourse. Note, however, that there is stairs-only access between the concourse and platforms.
There’s a single-stage crossing of Aldgate High Street a few metres east of the station entrance. this crossing has tactile paving and post with push buttons to each side as you cross in either direction. However, only the posts on your right have rotating cones.
Traffic flows one way, east to west.
This is a single-stage crossing with tactile paving. The posts with push button and rotating cone are north of the crossing. That is to your right as you cross to the west, on your left as you cross to the east.
