Where they are
Help points are available in all parts of the station:
- In the concourse - as you enter from entrance 4, turn left and locate the help point just beyond the phones;
- In the intermediate level - on your left at the foot of the downward escalator from the concourse;
- In the intermediate level - on your left, just before the top of the downward escalator to platform level;
- At platform level - on your left just beyond the foot of the downward escalator;
- On platform 1 - to your left as you reach the platform via the entrance (first passage);
- Platform 1 - about half way along the platform;
- Platform 1 - to your right as you reach the platform via the passage from platform 2 nearer the escalators;
- Platform 2 - just to your left before you leave the platform via the exit (the passage nearest the escalators);
- Platform 2 - about half way along the platform;
- Platform 2 - to your left as you reach the platform via the passage from platform 1 nearer the escalators.
How to Use Them
Although none of these were working at the time of our survey, they seemed identical to those we found on Oxford Circus station.
The help points in this station have a circular shield with a
grill on the left hand side to speak into. There are three buttons:
- At the top, shielded by glass, is a fire alarm;
- below this is an emergency push button, coloured green;
- finally, below this is an information request button,
which is smaller than the others, coloured blue.
Please advise us when these are working!?
