PLATFORM 3 - 4, METROPOLITAN EASTBOUND & TERMINUS |
DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This is an island platform with platform 4 (east of platform 3) being a terminus platform, whilst platform 3 is the through platform for eastbound services.
Stairs in the middle of the island platform lead to the lower concourse and from there towards the Bakerloo and Jubilee lines, whilst stairs towards the north end lead onto the north bridge which joins these platforms to platforms 1 and 2.
There's no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
From the Metropolitan Line concourse, go down 9 then 18 steps, going north onto the island platform. Platform 3 is on your left, 4 on your right. You are near the front of the eastbound train towards King's Cross, on platform 3 and the rear of the northbound (Amersham, Uxbridge or Watford) train, starting from platform 4.
The tunnel for the eastbound Metropolitan line starts a few metres south of the stairs. A passage joining platforms 3 and 4 marks the effective south end of these platforms.
