Help Points

The help points in this station consist of a circular housing with a breakable glass fire alarm button at the top, a larger (green) emergency button in the middle and a smaller (blue) information button towards the bottom.

The speaker and mic grill are to your left of the buttons.

DLR Alarm Points

The DLR has alarm points which differ from the help points normally found in London Underground stations.

There are three buttons, from the top:

• fire alarm
• passenger alarm
• emergency train stop.

There's also a sign warning you that you’re on video.

Location of Help Points

In the Bank Concourse

• between exits 1 and 2
• on the right-hand (north) wall of the passage to the Waterloo & City Line, before the start of the travellators
• in the passage towards exits 8 and 9, just before the right turn towards Exit 9 and the shopping area.

In the Central Line Concourse

• on the pillar between the entrance and exit to the Bank Concourse

On the Central Line, Platforms 5 - 6

On Platform 5, Westbound

• just before (east of) the east steps from the Intermediate Level
• between the west steps from the Intermediate Level and the exit towards the escalators

On Platform 6, Eastbound

• just beyond (west of) the first gap beyond the east steps from the Intermediate Level
• between the west steps and the entrance from the escalators

On the Northern Line, Platforms 3 - 4

In the Passage from Monument Station

• on the left-hand (southwest) side as you approach the escalators to the Northern Line

On Platform 3, Southbound

• just beyond (south of) the second gap from the foot of the steps from the Intermediate Level
• just before (north of) the entrance steps from the DLR
• just before (north of) the exit steps to the DLR

On Platform 4, Northbound

• just beyond (south of) the second gap from the foot of the steps from the Intermediate Level
• just before (north of) the entrance steps from the DLR
• just before (north of) the exit steps from the DLR

On the DLR, Platforms 9 - 10

• on the east side of the passage between the entrance and exit steps from the Northern Line towards the DLR, opposite the passage leading west towards the steps to the DLR platforms
• on the left-hand (north) side of the entrance to platform 9 nearest to the escalators from Monument Station
• on the arrivals platform 10, just beyond (north of) the exit near the rear of the train

Location of Alarm Points

On Platform 9, Departures

• just beyond (north of) the second entrance
• between the two entrances (signed Way Out) towards the north end

On Platform 10, Arrivals

• beyond (north of) the exit near the rear of the train, just beyond the London Underground help point
• just before (south of) the exit near the front of the train
