FIND AN EXIT FROM A PLATFORM

The doors open on your right as you face the front of the train.

Go towards the middle of the train and take one of the passages leading from the platform into the circulating area - there are three from each platform.
From the westbound, turn left (eastbound right), to face the escalators. You need to take the left hand escalator, up to the concourse.
The gate line is in front of you, the exit gate at the left hand end and the manual gate to your right. Go through the gates.

Note that there is little room in the concourse for the queue for ticket sales, so the area around the manual gate, in particular, is usually crowded.

Turn left for the Roman Road exit. Mind the pillar and follow the wall round to your left to locate the steps. Go up one flight, turn left and up another to the exit. Continue forward and bear right for Roman Road.
For the Cambridge Heath Road exits, continue forward into the passage. Go up 8 steps and either turn right, towards the junction with Bethnal Green Road, left for the other exit. In each case you go up one flight of stairs to the exit.
For the Cambridge Heath Road North exit, continue forward about two metres before turning right. Go up five steps and continue about 30 metres before going up two more flights of stairs to the exit.
