>The escalators from the Railtrack concourse go down to the west, up east. Use the left hand escalator.

>Steps between the escalators descend (west) 3, 17, 17 and 8 into the underground concourse, entering at the left (southern) end of a passage.

>A metal rail defines the northern limit of this recess in the concourse. 3 newspaper racks are in line with the left hand (west) wall of the passage from the escalators.

>If you need to buy a ticket from the manned booth, Go straight forward from the passage, pass 3 newspaper racks on your left and locate a metal rail. Follow this, on your left towards the ticket sales booths. Another barrier will appear on your right. There are 3 ticket sales booths, audio announcements indicate which window to go to. After buying your ticket, follow the rail round to your right (east) to return to the concourse.

>The gate line starts on your left in the form of a glass barrier which marks the northern limit of the concourse outside the gates. As you move away from the ticket sales booths (east), the barrier retreats about one metre north before continuing east with a manual gate (probably the easiest one to find).

>The gate line continues east for a few metres before turning right (south).

>If you have a valid pass or ticket, bear slightly right from the end of the passage and continue to locate the gate line.

>Wall turns left (south) with billboards. Follow this to turn left (east onto the up escalator to the Railtrack concourse, or continue to locate the stairs immediately beyond the foot of this escalator.
