This is a through station on the London Underground (Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan) and Thameslink lines. This station offers a much simpler connection between the London Underground and Thameslink services than does Kings Cross.
The lines run approximately east/west serving four separate platforms, numbered, from north to south, as follows
The Thameslink platforms lie approx 1.5 metres lower than those of the London Underground.
The concourse is located on a bridge across both lines towards the east end of the station. Another bridge joins all platforms near the west end. Four flights of stairs join the Westbound London Underground, platform 2 to the Southbound Thameslink, platform 3.
Note that there are stairs and a slope from platform 1 which are not intended for public use.
We understand that people are expected to circulate anti-clockwise through the station.
