THE PLATFORMS |

This page describes three island platforms, all of which are accessed via the bridge. These are numbered 1 - 2, 3 - 4 and 5 - 6 from the south.
Platforms 1 - 2 are for the mainline (Chiltern) services with platform 1 northbound towards Aylesbury and platform 2, southbound towards Marylebone. There is tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
Platforms 3 - 4 are the Northbound Metropolitan Line, with platform 3, normally serving trains to Watford or Amersham, whilst Platform 4 is normally for trains towards Uxbridge. There is no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
Platforms 5 - 6 are the Metropolitan Line southbound, towards Baker Street and beyond. There is no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
We'll describe each island platform from the west end.
Turn right (south) from the gates, go down five steps, going south then turn left (east) and go down 12 then 12 steps, going east onto the platform.
Go forward (east) from the gates then go down 15 then 15 steps, going east onto the platform.
Turn left (north) from the gates, go down five steps, going north then turn right (east) and go down 12 then 12 steps, going east onto the platform.
Each set of steps is divided into two sections by a central rail, keep left.
There are two rows of pillars from the foot of the steps, supporting the canopy.

There are many obstacles (no need to go beyond the stairs to the bridge).
