The station is east of the junction of King William Street (northwest/southeast), Grace Church Street (northeast/southwest), Cannon Street (west) and East Cheap (east).
Fish Street Hill runs approximately north from King William Street (southeast of the station) to East Cheap.
There are six entrances/exits to this station, five of which are via the public subway which continues into the north side of the Monument Concourse. The other entrance/exit leads west from Fish Street Hill, into the south end of the concourse.
From the pavement, you go up two steps, going west then down six steps, going west, into the concourse. These steps are divided into three sections by rails.
This was undergoing extensive work at the time of our survey. The main route runs south from the corner of King William Street and the Northwest side of Grace Church Street, into the concourse. A passage, running east/west between entrances from Cannon Street and East Cheap crosses the main passage.
You go down 18 steps, going east. The exit opposite the foot of these was blocked at the time of our survey.
Turn right (south, down six steps, going south into the subway.
You cross tactile paving then go down 16 steps, going east, turn left (north) then down three steps, going north. Turn left (west) then take the turning left (south) towards the concourse.
You go down 17 steps, going west, into the subway. Take the turning left (south) towards the concourse.
You go down 19 then five steps, going east into the subway. Take the turning right (south) towards the concourse.
The crossing is a few metres southeast of the junction, between two exits from the subway.
This is a two-stage crossing with tactile paving. The post with push button and rotating cone is to your right as you leave the pavement in either direction. On the central island, turn right then left, there’s a post with push button and rotating cone to each side as you leave the island in either direction.
We found no bus stops within the scope of this survey.
There are several shops, cafes, etc. along King William Street, between Bank and Monument stations, details of which lie beyond the scope of this survey.
Note that the overground route between these stations is via the northeast side (right as you go away from Monument) of King William Street. You cross four side streets before you reach Exit 6 of Bank Station
