There is level access between platforms 2 - 6, Metropolitan Line westbound and FCC Bedford services. There are stairs routes between other platforms.
We believe there will be escalator access between platform 1 and the FCC Stevenage service, platforms 9 - 10, when the refurbishment of the escalators is complete.
There is an escalator route from the Northern Line, platforms 7 - 8, to the FCC Stevenage service, platforms 9 - 10, though the reverse route is via the spiral staircase.
All changes, except for the escalator route between platforms 7 - 8 and 9 - 10 are via the east end of platforms, that is at the rear of westbound, or front of eastbound trains.
There is no tactile paving along any platforms in this station.

The doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. Note that the rear carriage stops beside the narrow section of the platform.
Go beyond the front of the train and continue to the wall or steps in front of you. We understand that customers are asked to use the subway, rather than the bridge from this platform. If you find the upward steps in front of you, move left to locate the downward steps to the subway. Go down a flight of steps.

Turn right, go down a flight of steps then follow the passage which veers right then left again before you reach the foot of the steps in front of you. Go up a flight of steps, turn left then go up another flight of steps. Turn right (180 degrees and go up another flight of steps to platform level.
Platforms 2 - 3, Metropolitan Line westbound are in front of you, you're near the rear of the train on platform 2, move forward for platform 3.
Turn left, locate the steps from the bridge on your left, before turning right, towards platforms 4 - 5. For platform 6, continue to the wall then turn right onto the platform.
Continue, up a flight of steps and follow the passage into the lower concourse and turn left. From here you can reach the platforms via escalator and stairs or use the stairs-only route.
Continue, past the escalators to your left, into the short passage to the top of the steps, in front of you. Go down three flights of steps, then continue spiralling clockwise down four flights of steps before turning left and going down another flight of steps to platform level. Platform 7, northbound is to your right, platform 8, southbound to your left. We suggest you go back along the platform you need, to the first passage, as the foot of the steps may be beyond the train.

Continue into the passage then go down three flights of steps. Continue forward to the top of the spiral staircase in front of you and go down two flights of steps, spiralling clockwise, before turning left onto the end of platform 10. continue forward to reach the rear of the train.
For platform 9, go through one of the gaps on your left, onto the platform. Note that the first two gaps don't go through to platform 9.
Take the turning right and continue, following the left-hand side, past the first turning, then take the second turning, towards the escalators. You turn 180 degrees in all, to face the escalators. The left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, go down to platform level and continue forward onto platform 9. We suggest you move forward a few metres to reach the rear of the train.
For platform 10, go through one of the gaps on your right, onto the platform.
In the interest of people flow, customers are asked to leave these platforms via the bridge to platform 1. It therefore follows that, having reached this platform, you reach the other platforms via the subway.
If you arrive via a westbound Metropolitan Line train, the doors will open on your left as you face the front of the train. For other services, the doors will open on your left for odd numbered platforms, otherwise on the right.
Go beyond the rear of westbound Metropolitan Line trains, or front of other services. move to your right from platforms 2 - 3, straight forward from platforms 4 - 5 and to your left from platform 6, and locate the steps up to the bridge, in front of you.
Go up four steps, turn left then go up two flights of steps, onto the bridge. Continue, down two flights of steps, then turn left and go down another flight onto platform 1.

Continue forward, for a few metres, you're near the front of the train.

You should go into the middle of the five gaps between the platforms then turn right from northbound trains, (or left from southbound). Go up a flight of steps, take the first turning right and follow the passage to the end. Turn left towards the escalators, the right-hand escalator is normally the one you need. Go up to the lower concourse. Follow the right-hand wall round to your right (180 degrees in all) then follow the passage, down a flight of steps then up another onto platform 1. Move forward a few metres to reach the front of the train.

Continue forward, past the escalators on your right then take the turning right and follow the passage, down a flight of steps then up another onto platform 1. Continue forward for a few metres to reach the front of the train.

From platform 9, go beyond the front of the train, to the escalators in front of you. The left-hand escalator is normally the one you need. Go up to the lower concourse, turn right across the top of the downward escalator then take the turning right and follow the passage to the end then turn left. Continue, past the escalators to the Northern Line, to your right, then take the turning right and follow the passage, down a flight of steps then up another onto platform 1. Continue forward for a few metres to reach the front of the train.
From platform 9, go through one of the gaps onto platform 10 and turn right.
On platform 10, go beyond the front of the train into the passage of the spiral staircase then turn right. Go up two flights of steps, spiralling anti-clockwise, then continue up three more flights of steps to the lower concourse. Continue forward, passing the escalators to the Northern Line on your right then take the turning right, follow the passage, down a flight of steps then up another onto platform 1. Continue forward for a few metres to reach the front of the train.
