These are separate platforms, with platform 2, eastbound lyoung northwest of platform 1, westbound.
Although there is step-free access from the Underground concourse to platform 2, platform 1 can only be accessed via steps from the bridge or Praed Street concourse.
The passage, leading southeast from the concourse to the Circle and District lines slopes steeply down then slightly up, both walls have billboards.

There's a slight slope with a railing in the middle of the platform, opposite the entrance. We are outside the rear of the second carriage from the front of the train.
The third passage from the front of the train leaves the platform going northwest.

The passage turns right (northeast) to become the "no entry" passage mentioned above.

Go into the first gap from the front of the train, turn left and go up 16 then five steps, going southwest. Turn left, go up ten steps, going southeast then take the turning right into the concourse.
The wall comprises a series of recesses between pillars.
There are three entrances/exits to this platform, towards the front of the train. The first from the front leads to the Praed Street concourse, the second is the entrance from the Underground concourse, whilst the third is the exit to the Underground concourse. This last also includes the foot of the steps from the bridge.

Turn left (northeast) into the entrance passage, turn right (southeast) and go up 3 x 10 steps, going southeast. You're now in the Praed Street concourse. Go forward a couple of metres then turn left, continue to the wall in front of you, you're on the bridge. Turn right, go through the gate, down ten steps going southeast. Turn left (northeast) and go down 5 then 16 steps before turning left onto the platform, near the rear of the train.
From the second passage from the rear of the train, go up 21 steps, going southwest onto the bridge. Turn right (northwest) and right (northeast) at the end. Go down 21 steps, going northeast and continue to the left turning (northwest). Continue from here to the gates towards the mainline concourse.
Go into the first gap from the rear of the train, turn right and go up 16 then five steps, going southwest. Turn right, go up ten steps, going northwest then take the turning left into the concourse.
