{"id":1299,"date":"2021-12-13T00:08:31","date_gmt":"2021-12-13T00:08:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mindspace.fi\/mind\/?p=1299"},"modified":"2021-12-13T00:08:39","modified_gmt":"2021-12-13T00:08:39","slug":"environs-nothing-hill-gate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mindspace.fi\/mind\/environs-nothing-hill-gate\/","title":{"rendered":"Environs &#8211; Nothing Hill Gate"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Location<\/h2>\n<p>The station is located beneath Notting Hill Gate, which runs approximately east\/west.<\/p>\n<h2>Entrances and Exits<\/h2>\n<p>There are four exits &#8211; two on each side of Notting Hill Gate, joined by a passage which forms a subway under this road.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exit 1, on the south side of Notting Hill Gate faces east towards Kensington Church Street, about 100 metres away.<\/li>\n<li>Exit 2, on the south side of Notting Hill Gate faces west, towards Holland Park.<\/li>\n<li>Exit 3, on the north side of Notting Hill Gate faces west, towards the junction with Pembridge Road, about 20 metres away. There is a Pelican crossing over Pembridge Road.<\/li>\n<li>Exit 4, on the north side of Notting Hill Gate, faces east, away from the junction with Pembridge Gardens, a few metres away.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>From Exit 1, on the South Side of Notting Hill Gate<\/h3>\n<p>Go down 17 then 9 steps, going west into the south entrance passage<\/p>\n<h3>From Exit 2, on the South Side of Notting Hill Gate<\/h3>\n<p>Go down 17 then 9 steps, going east into the south entrance passage.<\/p>\n<h3>From Exit 3, on the North Side of Notting Hill Gate<\/h3>\n<p>Go down 18 then 11 steps, going east into the north entrance passage.<\/p>\n<h3>From Exit 4, on the North Side of Notting Hill Gate<\/h3>\n<p>Go down 17 then 11 steps, going west, into the north entrance passage.<\/p>\n<h3>The passages<\/h3>\n<p>The south and north entrance passages are joined by the subway, which runs north\/south. The entrance to the concourse is on the east side of this passage, near the south end. There are four steps down just beyond (north of) the concourse entrance.<\/p>\n<p>Entrances to ladies (east) and gents (west) toilets leave from the north side of the north entrance passage. However, both of these were closed at the time of our survey.<\/p>\n<h2>Local Buses<\/h2>\n<p>There were no bus stops in view of the station at the time of our survey.<\/p>\n<h2>Local Features<\/h2>\n<p>There&#8217;s a selection of food vendors on the south side of Notting Hill Gate, between exits 1 and 2.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s an RBS and HSBC on the north side of Notting Hill Gate.
