Within the mainline concourse, platforms are numbered 1 - 19 from left to right as you face the platforms. platforms 1 - 18 share island platforms whilst platform 19 runs along the current right-hand side of the station, beside the former Eurostar section.
There is no tactile paving along the edge of the platforms.
Note that:
You can leave the Waterloo & City Line via exit 2 through the low level concourse, or to the Underground station. The route via exit 7 is not strictly a direct route out of the station, but a route between the Waterloo & City Line and the mainline platforms. See the Change Platforms page for details.

Leave the platvform into the mainline concourse. See the Overview section of this page for details of layout and favoured routes from the mainline platforms.
Turn right and continue to the end of the concourse, the exit is to your left of Whistlestop Food and Wine. Continue forward onto the pavement.
This exit is almost opposite platform 4.
You enter a recess from the concourse with the lift to your right. In front of you, from right to left, you have:
If you go to the lower concourse, turn right from the lift, or continue forward from the escalators onto Waterloo Road, or turn right then left from the lift, left from the escalators towards the Jubilee Line.
This exit is opposite platform 13.
You go through a short passage onto the pavement of Station Approach.
This exit is opposite the former Eurostar section of the station. Go down the escalator, the right-hand one is normally the one you need, into the subway. The subway veers left before you go up two flights of steps onto Tenison Way.
This exit is opposite the former Eurostar section of the station. You go down two flights of steps onto the pavement of Station Approach.
This is at the left-hand end of the concourse, you leave onto the foot bridge over York Road, see the Environs page for details of this foot bridge.
The escalators to the Underground concourse are beside platform 18, the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need. Alternatively, you can go down the steps which are separated from the left-hand escalator by a wall, you go down four flights of steps into the Underground concourse. Leave via the exit nearer the front of the train, go up five steps, turn right and go up two flights of steps into the lower passage. Turn left, continue, up two flights of steps then follow the passage which turns right then left, before going down a flight of steps into the lower concourse.
Turn left here for the Jubilee Line,, or continue through either of the exits in front of you onto the pavement of Waterloo Road. If you need the taxi rank, turn right, pass the first pair of escalators then go up the first escalator of the second pair, into the mainline concourse. Turn right (180 degrees) then continue through the door onto Station Approach, cross to the island for the taxi pick-up point.
