We understand these platforms run approximately north from the station, with escalator access from the Tube concourse at the near (south) end. There are also passages between here and the near ends of the Northern and Victoria Line platforms.
There is escalator and lift access from Level -2 from the Northern concourse, at the far (north) end of the platforms.
The original stairs access to street level via the Pentonville Road exit is now closed and you'll need to go to the Level -2 for the passage to this exit.
There is no tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
From the Level -2, go down the left-hand (north) set of escalators, towards the Piccadilly Line, the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need. At the foot of the escalators, Platform 5, westbound is to your right, whilst platform 6, eastbound is to your left.
There is escalator and lift access between this concourse and the platforms.
From the Northern concourse (Level -1) locate the escalators, the left-hand one is normally the one you need, go down to Level -2, take the turning left (east) towards the Piccadilly and Victoria Lines. Follow the passage, which slopes up gently then take the turning left (north) towards the escalators to the Piccadilly Line, the left-hand escalator is normally the one you need, go down to Level -3. Platform 5, westbound is to your right, whilst platform 6, eastbound is to your left. You're near the north end of the platforms.
Note that the original passage leading north towards the Pentonville Road Exit is now closed.

Locate the lift in the Northern concourse, beside the escalators and go down to Level -2. You leave the lift via the other doors, go forward a couple of metres then take the turning left and follow the passage, which slopes up gently. The passage opens out at the top of the escalators to the Piccadilly Line, the lift is on your right, opposite these escalators. Go down to platform level (Level -3) and leave via the other doors. At platform level, platform 5, westbound is to your left, whilst platform 6, eastbound is to your right, you're in the third passage from the far (north) end of the platforms.
We'll describe this in two sections, the south section is at the foot of the escalators from the Tube Concourse, whilst the north section is at the foot of the escalators from the Level -2 from the Northern Concourse. the lift from Level -2 of the Northern Concourse is in the third passage from the north end of the platforms.

This passage has the lift on the north side and a blank wall on the south.
