THE CENTRAL LINE, PLATFORMS 1 - 2 |

This is an island platform running east/west with platform 1, westbound lying south of platform 2, eastbound.
There are two entrances into through passages towards the west end of the platforms, there are two exits from through passages about in the middle of the platforms leading to escalators into the east side of the exit concourse, whilst passages lead from the west end of the platforms towards the exit section, Bakerloo and Victoria Line platforms.
There is tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
Take the first turning right from the right-hand (southbound) escalators from the main concourse, continue (east), to the escalators, both of which were downwards at the time of our survey. From the foot of the escalators, the passage continues east then turns right (south) to a junction:

You go down 20 steps to platform level. The westbound, platform 1 is on your right, you are near the front of the train. Platform 2, eastbound is on your left, you are near the rear of the train.
Go up 16 then 16 steps, going west turn left at the top (south); then right (west) towards the escalators to the exit concourse.
Go up 21 then 9 steps, going west. Note there is a pillar in the middle of the exit on your left and a help point on the wall facing you. Turn left (south) then right (west) towards the escalators to the exit concourse.
Note these escalators go up west, i.e. you emerge on the east side of the exit concourse.
Enter the right-hand passage, (from platform 2) and go up 13 then 18 steps going west. Follow the passage right (north) and ascend 11 steps to the exit section of the intermediate level. The single escalator to the exit concourse is on your right.
