DESCRIBE ONLINE |
This page includes the description of the new platform 3A, which lies north of the Level 1 Walkway, together with the island platform 3 - 5.
The island platform runs east/west with platform 3, serving westbound Central Line services lying south of platform 5, serving mainline trains towards Liverpool Street.
Note that platform 5 extends some distance west of the beginning of platform 3.
There is tactile paving along the edge of these platforms.
There is step-free access from the Level 1 Walkway.
There are three passages, we understand the east passage is the entrance, leave the walkway, via tactile paving, going north down a slight slope. Follow the passage right (east) down the slope then turn left (north) onto the platform, near the rear of the train.
The middle passage leads south from the platform, turn right (west), then left (south) to the Level 1 Walkway, opposite the steps to the East Concourse.
The west passage leads south from the platform. Turn left (east), go up the short ramp then turn right (south) onto the Level 1 Walkway, almost opposite the top of the steps to the West Concourse.
